We recently responded to an emergency call-out after a customer's basement was severely flooded due to external pipes breaking on the road. The street was inundated, and the flooding caused huge deposits of trapped water within the basement.
Without wasting any time, we immediately got to work, starting with the extraction of the standing water. The challenge came from the multi-layered concrete slab flooring, with a heavy rubber DPM-style sheeting beneath it, trapping moisture between the layers. Accessing each layer to extract the trapped moisture was no easy feat—it required all of our experience and determination.
Despite the difficulties, we successfully removed every last bit of standing water and proceeded with a thorough sanitisation of the entire basement area. Following this, we implemented a drying program to mitigate further damage while the insurance provider completed their assessments. Our drying efforts continued until the area was restored to its pre-incident moisture levels.
This job was a real test of our expertise, determination, and dedication to solving even the most complex moisture-related issues. Another successful job completed, leaving the customer relieved and the property back on track!
